John "Jack" H. WyantManaging Director
Jack Wyant founded Blue Chip in 1990 and was responsible for a number of Blue Chip's most successful investments, including Richwood Pharmaceutical and USinternetworking. He focuses primarily on Media & Marketing companies, and currently works with companies including ShareThis and XOS Digital. Jack has been recognized for leadership in venture capital and entrepreneurial settings by a number of organizations, and he is a frequent lecturer on venture capital investing and entrepreneurship.
Prior to Blue Chip, Jack spent 16 years in entrepreneurial settings serving as founder and CEO of two venture-backed start-up companies in the Media & Marketing and Healthcare industries. Home Entertainment Network built and operated TV stations and originated and syndicated live sports events, and Nutrition Technology Corporation developed and marketed nutrition products to hospitals and nursing homes. Both resulted in strategic acquisitions by larger firms. Jack started his career in brand management with Procter & Gamble and later held marketing and general management positions with Taft Broadcasting Company, where he developed and launched new entertainment business units.
